Well, that did not take very long at all. Just a few days ago, Mr. Biden delivered the following lines on the one and only evening he bothered to participate in the DNC Convention. Of course, he painted himself to be the savior of America, one who would rule under “light” instead of “darkness.”
“For make no mistake. United we can, and will, overcome this season of darkness in America. We will choose hope over fear, facts over fiction, fairness over privilege.” [Source: MarketWatch]
Less than a week after Biden proclaimed that his presidency would unite, rather than divide, people, he has demonstrated the exact opposite behavior yesterday by demanding an investigation into the police and all but making it clear that he automatically believes the police are at fault. Given that the relations between the police and the public are likely at their lowest point, if not the lowest point, in American history, it would likely be wise for Biden to follow his own proclamations.
He’s been hiding in the basement for so long anyway that it would probably be in his best interests if he remained silent, especially since it is almost always a mystery now as to what exactly might spill out of his mouth. Yet, since he has apparently realized he is running for President of the United States, he’s suddenly amplified his public commentary.
Unfortunately, that commentary does not demonstrate “hope over fear,” “facts over fiction,” and “fairness over privilege.” In fact, this commentary illustrates the exact inverse of these statements.
After a non-fatal police shooting just took place on Sunday, so someone who privileges “facts” and “fairness” likely wouldn’t be running their mouth immediately; they would wait and see the outcome of an investigation and gather truthful information from various sources in the meantime.
However, Biden made it rather clear that he is neither interested in “facts” nor “fairness” when it comes to anything to do with the police, which is a rather strange campaign move when much of America, including Black Americans, has zero issue in defunding or abolishing the police.
In a statement delivered Monday, otherwise known as barely 24 hours after the event even occurred, Biden was already blasting the police and demanding a “full investigation” into their actions.
“Yesterday in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Jacob Blake was shot seven times in the back as police attempted to restrain him from getting into his car,” the former vice president said in a statement on Monday. “His children watched from inside the car and bystanders watched in disbelief. And this morning, the nation wakes up yet again with grief and outrage that yet another Black American is a victim of excessive force …”
According to Biden, the only appropriate solution is “an immediate, full and transparent investigation and the officers must be held accountable.” In other words, no talk of anyone else being accountable. Just the police, it appears. Yeah. That’s really “fair” and factual, Biden. How much “hope” do you think the police have after hearing statements like this made barely 24 hours after the event occurred?
Apparently Biden has ignored the fact that police have been killed, paralyzed, “bricked,” and otherwise attacked by a mob of veritable psychopaths. As well as the fact that they are retiring in droves across the nation, particularly in Democrat-led cities.
Any officer, whether current or retired, lives in great fear, and they are not likely to feel much “hope” after Biden’s rather bold pronouncements, including that “these shots pierce the soul of our nation” and how he and his wife “pray for Jacob’s recovery and for his children.”
Did Biden bother to pray for the children of retired police officers mindlessly murdered by the sadistic mob? Did he even bother to make a statement? Did he argue that the endlessly violent looters, who have killed far more Blacks this year than the police have, are piercing “the soul” of America? Oh wait, he can’t do that; he depends on their votes, after all.
Nor are they likely to feel much “hope” after Ms. Harris’s, who basically mimicked Biden like the “bought and sold” representative that she is.
“Jacob Blake should not be fighting for his life right now,” Democratic vice presidential nominee Sen. Kamala Harris of California tweeted on Monday, “As @JoeBiden said, there must be an immediate investigation and the officers involved should be held accountable.” [Source: Fox News]
One can only hope that most Americans will see the rather blatant discrepancy between Biden’s message of “facts” and fairness” and his actions of “fiction” and “privilege.” It would be hard for anyone aside from a rabid leftists to argue that police are privileged these days, especially when Blue Lives Matter is stymied at the highest level of some corporations and Black Lives Matter is shoved in people’s faces constantly, thanks to the professional sports leagues.
Regardless, the heart and soul of America sees the lies and they see the truth, and the truth is that far more “light” lies within Trump’s campaign of hope rather than the Democrat campaign of division and hatred.
Provided that the Democrats do not engage in outright election fraud or other nefarious activities, Trump appears even more likely to sweep November.
