Another day, another ultra-woke gesture from the Biden administration.
Unfortunately, the “woke” political philosophy violently enforced by BLM and Antifa has steadily infiltrated every last aspect of the Biden administration, from former gangbangers holding senior advisor roles to the AG fretting over “civil rights,” as if nothing had ever been accomplished in that regard.
And, predictably, Biden’s Attorney General pick, who also happens to be another Obama favorite, has apparently decided that the greatest issue facing the United States today is ongoing civil rights issues, which does not exactly lend much credit to the real Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s.
Just consider Mr. Garland’s actions he will take if he is “confirmed.” As if anything will stand in Mr. Garland’s way in terms of being confirmed. If Biden can get away with 50+ largely unfavorable executive orders for Americans, he can certainly get away with confirming whoever he apparently deems worthy of power in the United States.
“If confirmed, I will supervise the prosecution of white supremacists and others who stormed the Capitol on January 6 — a heinous attack that sought to disrupt a cornerstone of our democracy: the peaceful transfer of power to a newly elected government … That critical work is but a part of the broad scope of the Department’s responsibilities.” [Source: Fox News]
Well, that’s nice. How about the constant BLM and Antifa riots that also seek “to disrupt a cornerstone of our democracy,” including the fact that both groups have made zero secret of their interest in destroying the United States’ foundation, from its history to its Constitution?
Of course, Mr. Garland was also sure to invoke memories of America’s slaveholding past, which is not exactly the greatest attempt at unity in the world. However, it is certainly a great way to guarantee division amongst Americans and distraction from what the Democrats are really doing.
“Celebrating DOJ’s 150th year reminds us of the origins of the Department, which was founded during Reconstruction, in the aftermath of the Civil War, to secure the civil rights promised by the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments …
The first Attorney General appointed by President Grant to head the new Department led it in a concerted battle to protect black voting rights from the violence of white supremacists, successfully prosecuting hundreds of cases against members of the Ku Klux Klan.” [Source: Town Hall]
The Ku Klux Klan? Seriously? And could Mr. Garland kindly highlight achievements of the 1960s, rather than searching as far back as possible for the most upsetting aspects of American history?
Even better, could he remain focused on the present, not to mention the future? Oh, that’s right … apparently, Mr. Garland thinks that the main future of the United States should center on civl rights movements.
“That mission remains urgent because we do not yet have equal justice … ‘Communities of color and other minorities still face discrimination in housing, education, employment, and the criminal justice system; and bear the brunt of the harm caused by pandemic, pollution, and climate change.” [Source: Fox News]
Ok. “Equal justice?” Really? How about pursuing BLM with the same vengeance as Capitol Hill rioters then? Oh, that’s right … one of the worst Capitol Hill rioters IS part of BLM, yet he managed to evade punishment.
Not to mention the fact that law enforcement can help BLM, rather than stymie their efforts, such as Jarvis Middleton, a police officer in Lexington, Kentucky who was finally let go after openly colluding with BLM.
“Officer Middleton’s conduct during a highly stressful and potentially vulnerable time during the history of our community — the most significant policing event in our community in 20 years — demonstrates that he should no longer be a police officer.” [Source: Fox News]
Initially, Middleton denied providing BLM with any materials to assist with their arguable reign of nighttime terror, until text messages traced directly to him forced him to admit the truth.
Good going. Next time, perhaps do not text about matters such as aiding and abetting criminal activity.
Of course, the good old ACLU is already freaking out about supposed racism against the police officer. Apparently, accountability is the same thing as “racism” in leftist land.
“While Officer Middleton’s actions may warrant some level of disciplinary action, it is particularly concerning he was more swiftly investigated and harshly punished for sharing non-critical information than officers who use excessive force against protesters or create the culture of racism and hostility Middleton reported to no avail.” [Source: Fox News]
Thanks, ACLU. As if the GOP is the one creating “the culture of racism.”
Meanwhile, across the pond in Manchester, England, political wokism has become even more extreme. For instance, a highly intoxicated woman, Sicily Hunston, who was arrested for violently attacking cops, including physically biting them … and guess what the trigger was?
“All lives matter.” Apparently, that phrase alone apparently justified Ms. Hunston verbally threatening the police over her collection of meat cleavers, which precluded her violent attack on the officers. Apparently, the United Kingdom has become so politically correct that Ms. Hunston has apparently been let go with no punishment whatsoever.
Unless you count £180 in court fees and a mere £50 paid to the officer she bit as “punishment.”
When will the insanity end?
