Chris Wallace Ditches Fox News For The Dark Side

Everyone knows that CNN has become increasingly desperate in the past several months.

After all, the network’s ranking were already tanking under Trump, and they’re really tanking now that they can no longer whine about Trump’s Twitter feed. That said, CNN still mentions Trump’s name like crazy, as if the reference to the name alone may save their ailing ratings.

On top of their spiraling ratings, CNN is now dealing with two massive scandals, ironically from some of its most anti-Trump “journalists.”

In the first scandal, Chris Cuomo has been summarily dismissed for the rather questionable, highly publicized role he played in his brother’s scandal in New York: More accurately, Chris went on the full-on offensive trying to interfere with an investigation into Andrew Cuomo’s dubious reign.

Now, CNN is now linked to yet another scandal, as one of its producers has been linked to an extremely unsavory situation involving a child, and that producer apparently has connections to Chris Cuomo as well.

Who knew?

Oh, and of course the smaller “scandal” of Don Lemon aiding and abetting his buddy Jussie Smollett, who moronically took the stand in his own “defense” (i.e., deception) and subsequently had the book thrown at him by a jury.

So, it is little wonder that CNN is seriously hard up for journalists it deems remotely credible, which is why it is no surprise they have managed to fish Christopher Wallace from Fox News.

Wallace’s move seems rather strange, and one can only imagine how much the desperate Communist News Network bribed him with.

His move seems even stranger given his journalistic values.

“Eighteen years ago, the bosses here at Fox promised me they would never interfere with a guest I booked or a question I asked. And they kept that promise. I have been free to report to the best of my ability, to cover the stories I think are important, to hold our country’s leaders to account. It’s been a great ride.” [Source: Fox News]

Something suggests Wallace won’t be so “free to report” on CNN.

Though a good litmus test could be to see whether or not CNN will let him report on Hunter Biden …

Wallace also reminisced upon the Fox News community, apparently not realizing that his audience will be a tad different at CNN.

“It may sound corny, but I feel we’ve built a community here … There’s a lot you can do on Sundays. The fact you’ve chosen to spend this hour with us is something I cherish. But after 18 years, I have decided to leave Fox …

I want to try something new, to go beyond politics to all the things I’m interested in. I’m ready for a new adventure. And I hope you’ll check it out. And so — for the last time, dear friends — that’s it for today. Have a great week. And I hope you’ll keep watching Fox News Sunday.” [Source: Fox News]

Not so sure Wallace will get away from going “beyond politics” at CNN, especially when their ratings apparently depend so heavily on bashing Trump.

Fox News Media released a classy statement on Wallace’s departure, assuring viewers that they will still enjoy the talents of many journalists on Sunday.

“We are extremely proud of our journalism and the stellar team that Chris Wallace was a part of for 18 years. The legacy of Fox News Sunday will continue with our star journalists, many of whom will rotate in the position until a permanent host is named.” [Source: Fox News]

On his part, Wallace is intrigued about joining CNN Plus, the network’s new streaming service. Or, less charitably put, latest attempt to remain relevant.

“After decades in broadcast and cable news, I am excited to explore the world of streaming … I look forward to the new freedom and flexibility streaming affords in interviewing major figures across the news landscape—and finding new ways to tell stories.” [Source: Townhall]

Half the time, one almost wonders if CNN recruited Wallace due to his infamous interference in the Trump-Biden presidential “debate.”

Trump himself laughed about debating two people at once, which he said to Wallace directly.

“I guess I’m debating you not him (Biden). But that’s okay. I’m not surprised.” [Source: Newsmax]

Hey, at least Wallace won’t be moderating any 2024 debates on Fox News …
