If you’re not familiar with the name Glenn Greenwald, then you’re surely familiar with his legendary investigative journalism. He is famous for breaking the story of Edward Snowden, a former CIA and NSA contractor who revealed to the world that the United States was unconstitutionally spying on its own (innocent) citizens.
He is also famous for his complete devotion to journalist integrity and freedom, which is precisely why he recently, and very publicly, quit The Intercept. Which he co-founded.
Why? Well, in news that will surprise no one, Greenwald recently wrote a detailed, well-researched article that dared to demonstrate criticism of Biden’s overseas business dealings, an article that is especially timely given Biden and the Democrats’ routine dodging of legitimate questions related to this issue.
Greenwald noted that his piece was designed to raise “critical questions about Biden’s conduct.”
In other words, Greenwald was providing insight into a serious problem with a (horrifyingly) potential president that Americans very much have the right to know. However, Democrats, in classic Soviet-style tactics, believe they have the right to control what people know and do not know.
And what happened to Greenwald for his journalistic service to Americans, as well as the world as a whole? Well, he was told by all the New York-based editorial staff to cancel his Biden criticism or the article would not be printed.
Needless to say, for a journalist that broke the Snowden story despite Obama’s best efforts to suppress it, Greenwald did not react favorably. In fact, he resigned near-immediately, including a detailed blog post that outlined exactly why he resigned.
Needless to say, what Greenwald had to say is nothing short of damning for Democrats.
“Today I sent my intention to resign from The Intercept, the news outlet I co-founded in 2013 with Jeremy Scahill and Laura Poitras, as well as from its parent company First Look Media …
The final, precipitating cause is that The Intercept’s editors, in violation of my contractual right of editorial freedom, censored an article I wrote this week, refusing to publish it unless I remove all sections critical of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, the candidate vehemently supported by all New-York-based Intercept editors involved in this effort at suppression …
Not content to simply prevent publication of this article at the media outlet I co-founded, these Intercept editors also demanded that I refrain from exercising a separate contractual right to publish this article with any other publication …
I could not sleep at night knowing that I allowed any institution to censor what I want to say and believe — least of all a media outlet I co-founded with the explicit goal of ensuring this never happens to other journalists, let alone to me.”

In one word: Wow.
One cannot help but notice a certain sense of irony in the above story, considering that Greenwald also incurred the wrath of Obama.
When he broke the Snowden story, Greenwald became famed for the type of journalism that caught Obama with his pants down. The former “commander” in chief failed to be truthful with Americans about whether or not big tech was spying on them in cahoots with the CIA, NSA, DIA, and a host of other agencies engaged in behaviors more appropriate of the Soviet Union than the sovereign United States.
This type of spying grossly violated their 4th Amendment rights, which makes the decision of self-proclaimed “constitutional scholar” Obama even more absurd. For someone so supposedly concerned about Trump’s potential despotism (which is absurd), Obama sure does disregard the Constitution (not to mention checks on executive authority in times past) when it is convenient for him.
The same FISA warrants used to illegally spy on Americans were also used by Obama and Clinton in their lame attempt to take down Trump with “Russia collusion” nonsense.
Curiously, none of this “Russia collusion” material seemed to face such extreme censorship on social media, and this nonsense occurred back when they at least somewhat feigned objectivity.
Regardless, now that Greenwald is back in the news again, it is quite ironic that his public exposure is due to another issue related to Obama, considering that Obama is attempting to sway voters towards Biden. Too bad the crowds he draws compete with Biden’s, which means they are miniscule.
It will be interesting to see if social media giants now opt to censor Glenn Greenwald, though such a decision would be to their extreme peril.
As tragic as the attempted censorship of Greenwald is, his open letter does a major service to Americans interested in the truth. And the truth is that the media and its tech lemmings are dangerous entities that represent one of the most imminent threats to America’s future.
Within the next few days, America’s future will hopefully be brighter with the successful re-election of Trump, who will be remembered as one of the most devoted public servants in American history.
