CNN Finds Themselves Smack Dab In The Middle Of Another Major Scandal

Well, well, well. Apparently, when it rains at CNN, it pours. Majorly.

While much of the nation’s attention was diverted to the Rittenhouse trial, which thankfully ended in a rightful acquittal, another trial is taking place that is making leftists very, very uncomfortable.

If you recall, a typically overprivileged, undereducated actor, Jussie Smollett, apparently thought he wasn’t being appropriately compensated at up to $125,000 per episode of whatever not-very-well-known show that he “starred” in.

So, what does Mr. Smollett decide to do? Drum up national sympathy by staging a hate crime on himself.

That’s right: In the middle of the night, during a freezing cold polar vortex, Smollett thought it would be a great idea to pay two Nigerian brothers to attack him and pretend they were pro-Trump supporters.

How convenient: Self-victimization and Trump supporter smearing, all achieved in one swoop deception.

In other words, Smollett is the actor equivalent of Colin Kaepernick, though at least Kaepernick didn’t fake a hate crime attack on himself.

Inconveniently for the undereducated actor, his little plot was exposed, his reputation was disgraced, and he is now on trial for staging a hate crime on himself.

Though if you think Smollett has learned his lesson in any way, shape, or form, prepare to think again: Smollett has decided to turn his trial into a total spectacle, managing to yank down CNN’s Don Lemon in the process.

Specifically, Smollett claimed that Lemon texted him and warned him that the Chicago Police didn’t believe him.

This would be the same Lemon that reports on the Smollett case to the American public, so it is safe to say that Lemon’s interference is a tad significant for multiple reasons.

In other words, yet another CNN anchor brazenly interfered with ongoing legal proceedings, which demonstrates just how insanely unaccountable the mainstream media has become.

They’ve gone from being extremely biased to the left to effectively criminal in their behind-the-scenes tactics.

Worst of all, when one of them goes down, they all seem to start going donw like dominos.

After all, CNN is still dealing with the massive headache of Chris Cuomo, who not only humiliated the network via his brazen interference in the investigation of his brother, but also is readying a massive lawsuit against the network.

Lemon, of course, is now trying to cover his tracks, claiming that Smollett is a mere acquaintance.

“[Smollett] even lied to a lot of people… including me. And that’s not cool … He squandered the good will of very high-profile people who one day may be running this country like Kamala Harris and Cory Booker and people like President Trump.” [Source: Breitbart]

Heaven forbid if you squander the “good will” of Kamala Harris.

And as far as Smollett allegedly lying “to a lot of people,” exactly what does Mr. Lemon think he’s doing when he spews bias on a daily basis on CNN?

Fortunately, New York Times best-selling author Tony Shaffer called out Lemon’s nonsense, not to mention CNN generally, for exactly what they are.

“Really, @donlemon? Did you do for @JussieSmollett what @ChrisCuomo did for his sexual assaulting brother @andrewcuomo?” [Source: The Blaze]

He sure did. The question is, what is CNN going to do about it?

One commentor weighed in, noting that CNN should probably adopt an impartial appearance in this scenario.

“If CNN is to be impartial they need to suspend Lemon until further review.” [Source: The Blaze]

They should. But will they?

One other commentor also pointed out the serious problem at CNN generally, which naturally explains Cuomo and Lemon.

“CNN is a joke these are activists not reporters.” [Source: The Blaze]

Well, one activist (Cuomo) is down. Hopefully, Lemon may be next …
