Fake News Despicably Compares Capitol Hill And 9/11

Many poor opinions regarding the Capitol Hill events of January 6 have circulated, but one of the latest claims from the Huffington Post just might hit an astronomical new low.

S.V. Dáte, the White House Correspondent for the publication, along with George Wills, compared September 11 with January 6 on Twitter. Both individuals had the audacity to claim that neither Osama bin Laden nor the 9/11 terrorists “threatened the heart of the American experiment,” whereas the events of January 6, along with Donald Trump, presumably “did exactly that.”

Nearly 20 years ago, on September 11, 2001, al-Qaida terrorists hijacked four different airliners and turned them into weapons of terror, ultimately bringing down the World Trade Center and the Twin Towers in Manhattan. In addition, the attacks also left a massive, burning whole in the side of the Pentagon.

Moreover, the terrorists on Flight 93 also attempted to crash the plane into the U.S. Capitol, but their efforts were thwarted by brave passengers. Instead, Flight 93 crashed into a Pennsylvanian field.

Ultimately, nearly 3,000 innocent people lost their lives during the attack.

However, Daté apparently thinks that these horrific attacks do not pass muster as a massive threat to America’s heart.

Even when another Twitter user indicated that Flight 93 had been barrelling straight towards the Capitol on that fateful day, Daté merely retorted that the events of January 6 were “1000 percent worse” than the events of September 11.

Daté apparently couldn’t resist making additional, highly inflammatory commentary, notably why he claimed that it is “absolutely correct” that the events of January 6 presumably pose “a greater existential threat to the actual republic,” and that this threat is greater than the threats posed by both the 9/11 terrorists and the Axis Powers during the Second World War.

Sadly, commenters have gone from claiming that the events of January 6 are just as bad as the events of 9/11 to claiming that the events of January 6 were the worst of all. Moreover, the events of January 6 did not involved an armed insurrection, nor were Capitol Hill police murdered. Instead, the most inflammatory claims about the events of January 6 have ultimately been disproven.
