Seems like the fake news media is having one hole after another blown into its artificially self-inflated image as an arbiter of the truth and justice. Turns out, the fake news media is the arbiter of ratings and hatred and not much else.
Former MSNBC Producer Ariana Pekary through the leftists through a loop by quitting, and she didn’t go quietly. On the contrary, she resigned in a highly public manner, publishing a blistering letter that slams the network as nothing but the ultimate disservice to society that feeds on ratings, rather than facts.
“It’s possible that I’m more sensitive to the editorial process due to my background in public radio, where no decision I ever witnessed was predicated on how a topic or guest would ‘rate.’ The longer I was at MSNBC, the more I saw such choices — it’s practically baked in to the editorial process – and those decisions affect news content every day,” she writes on her personal website. When reading the full length version of Pekary’s resignation on her personal website, she does not hold back whatsoever, excoriating the network as a “cancer” that feeds on division and misery, even in the midst of a truly terrible time for a significant percentage of Americans.
“This cancer stokes national division, even in the middle of a civil rights crisis. The model blocks diversity of thought and content because the networks have incentive to amplify fringe voices and events, at the expense of others… all because it pumps up the ratings.
This cancer risks human lives, even in the middle of a pandemic. The primary focus quickly became what Donald Trump was doing (poorly) to address the crisis, rather than the science itself. As new details have become available about antibodies, a vaccine, or how COVID actually spreads, producers still want to focus on the politics. Important facts or studies get buried.” [Source: Ariana Pekary]
Undoubtedly, one of the important facts or studies being buried includes the commentary from Yale Professor Dr. Harvey Risch, who promptly shut down a CNN commentator, John Burman, who made an unwise decision to debate science with an Ivy League epidemiologist who openly supports Trump’s recommendation.
When the CNN commentator attempted to challenge Dr. Risch by reading from his premade notes, informing the Yale epidemiologist that a “growing body of evidence shows hydroxychloroquine is ineffective.”
Dr. Risch coolly retorted by rationally pointing out the fallacy in the CNN commentator’s reasoning.
“That’s not actually correct. The problem with those randomized controlled trials, is they were trials done on the wrong people. They were trials done on low-risk people with low risks of hospitalization and mortality. You don’t do a study of prostate cancer with women… because nobody is gonna get the outcome.” [Source: Fox News]
CNN had not definitive reply to Dr. Risch’s mini-lesson on how to properly interpret scientific studies, aside from their usual attempts to twist words and distort the truth. These actions are despicable behavior in the best circumstances and downright unconscionable when considered in the context of the fake news media’s full-on assault of Trump.
Then again, the facts and details and all those inconvenient statistics don’t exactly butter the bread of the terminally greedy Democrats. In perhaps the worst-kept secret about Democratic voters, Pekary also wryly notes, “context and factual data are often considered too cumbersome for the audience.”
For a network so concerned about “fact checking” President Trump, perhaps MSNBC might want to clean up its act on the home front first.
Ultimately, Pekary’s letter reveals what American patriots and President Trump have long since been aware of: The fake news media, oftentimes in cahoots with the ultra-progressive tech behemoths in California, otherwise known as the primary source of the social issues they claim they want to solve, thrives on deception and division. At this point, it seems virtually nothing will stop them.
No matter how many black voices come out vocally in support of President Trump, from celebrities to journalists to protestors in the streets, the fake news will ignore them. No matter how many former tech workers come out to describe the clear bias that takes place on a daily basis, the fake news will not take them seriously. No matter how many Hispanics argue the reasons for why they support Trump, the fake news will not give them a voice to be heard.
In fact, if the fake news media pays any attention to them at all, it will be to publicly shame them or otherwise try to destroy their lives, all for daring to voice a degree of independent thinking. After all, when a software engineer dared to question the “ideological echo chamber” that suffocates free thought and free speech in the hallowed halls of Google, he was publicly ripped apart for his “anti-diversity” publication.
That would be the same publication that begins with, “I value diversity and inclusion, am not denying that sexism exists, and don’t endorse using stereotypes.” Looks like the fake news media skipped over a line, or several hundred, in the manifesto.
Of all the freedoms that are suddenly offensive to the fake news media, suffocating the freedom of thought, or attempting to suffer the freedom of thought, is the most dangerous of all. In the absence of individual thought and the presence of groupthink, freedom of speech and freedom of political expression are no longer as important, as everyone will talk and believe the same way anyway.
As Pekary notes, the “cancer” of fake news and its deliberate divisiveness “risks our democracy, even in the middle of a presidential election,” and one can only hope that enough Patriots turn out to form a stalwart against the desperate Democrats.
The election may be just under three months away, and odds are high that it will feel like the longest three months of true patriots’ lives.
