Governor Noem Issues Challenge To Biden

Well, looks like Biden busted open a massive can of worms just in time for 2022 to start, notably with his rather telling commentary on the pandemic.

Recalling that Biden repeatedly campaigned on the so-called promise to “shut down” the COVID pandemic, his recent commentary to Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson was rather intriguing.

“There is no federal solution. This gets solved at the state level.” [Source: Fox News]

Well then. Thank you for finally acknowledging the rather obvious: The federal government, especially under Democrat “direction,” is essentially useless, especially when dealing with a real crisis.

Needless to say, the GOP has had a field day with Biden’s admission ever since, pointing out that “no federal solution” is quite a distance from “shutting down” the virus.

“Joe Biden claimed he would shut down the virus. Now a year later when he failed to do so, he says there is no federal solution to COVID. Joe Biden is a hypocrite.” [Source: Fox News]

Not only did Biden basically admit he was full of it on the campaign trail (or, more accurately, his “advisors” speaking through him were full of it), but he also revealed that most federal mandates are essentially useless.

Which savvy Republicans, such as South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, immediately pounced upon.

“After a year, we finally agree @potus. The federal government isn’t the solution. That’s why from the start, SD took a different approach by trusting our citizens to be responsible and make the right decisions for themselves & their families. Now rescind all the federal mandates.” [Source: The Daily Wire]

It’s great that Noem prefaced her remarks by noting it took Biden an entire year to recognize the rather obvious: COVID isn’t going away just because he said so in a number of empty campaign promises.

It’s even greater that Noem pointed out the natural follow-up to “no federal solution”: Abolish all federal mandates entirely, especially since the president himself said no solution exists on the federal level.

Noem also notes that Biden has not only failed to prevent the rampant spread of COVID, but that he has also been generally dark and ominous when detailing the future of the nation with regards to the pandemic.

“America needs hope and leadership from Biden. Not fear and dire predictions.” [Source: The Daily Wire]

While hope and leadership come naturally to Trump, Democrats tend to be allergic to these attributes, likely because their campaigns seem to center on dark histories and even darker futures. The opposite of MAGA, in other words.

However, even though the Democrats “succeeded” in the 2020 election, they’re massively reaping the consequences of incompetence now, as deftly pointed out by Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas.

“When Joe Biden says ‘there is no federal solution,’ he’s trying to avoid blame for his incompetence … If he really believes this, he should rescind his unconstitutional federal mandates.” [Source: The Daily Wire]

Precisely.

After all, clearly Biden has “no science” to support any “federal solution,” so the continuation of ridiculous mandates, such as mandatory mask wearing in airplanes that no longer socially distance, is really little more than authoritarianism thinly disguised as “public health measures.”

Cotton also took the opportunity to shred the other incompetent actions that have grown characteristic of the Biden administration, including wide open borders and kowtowing to Marxist teachers’ unions.

“There’s no federal solution, but the fed government can help by securing the border, approving safe treatments & tests, and appointing competent leaders at the FDA & CDC … Biden opened the border, botched testing, and outsourced CDC’s guidance to the teachers’ unions.” [Source: The Daily Wire]

Aside from domestic catastrophes, the Biden administration has continued to humiliate the nation on a global stage, with none other than the Global Times in China jeering over the United States’ apparently inability to find its footing under Biden.

Just consider the rather telling commentary embedded within China’s “news.”

“Did American politicians’ promises during the US presidential elections mean anything at all?” [Source: Breitbart]

All the more reason why Trump, rather than Biden, should be in power: After all, Trump actually followed through on what he said he would do. Most importantly, Trump never overpromised, but he always overdelivered.

Which is precisely why enemy China wanted Biden, rather than Trump, at the helm. Which makes the timing of the pandemic all the more suspect …

Anyway, it appears that Biden has now learned of the widespread displeasure his remarks on “no federal solution” have engendered, and he hilariously is now touting his “federal plan” to combat COVID … though his plan appears, once again, to depend almost entirely on vastly more competent state governors.

“My Administration has the back of every governor fighting COVID-19 in their state … Last week, I rolled out a federal plan to tackle Omicron by adding vaccination and booster capacity, hospital equipment, staff, and more … We’re going to get through this by working together.” [Source: The Daily Wire]

Oh yeah.

Biden so has “the back” of Ron DeSantis that Florida’s Attorney General, Joseph Ladapo, recently sent a scathing letter to the Department of Health and Human Services, openly accusing the administration of “actively discouraging” the distribution of monoclonal antibodies in the state.

So much for “working together,” another empty campaign promise.

On top of that, one can only hope that Biden eventually remembers another comment on the campaign trail.

“Anyone who’s responsible for that many deaths should not remain as president of the United States of America.” [Source: Breitbart]

Another empty promise, Mr. President?
