Harris Makes Hilarious Claim

Recently, Vice President Kamala Harris made a rather humorous claim during the graduation ceremony for the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, given her general antipathy towards law enforcement and open support of “Defund Police.”

In spite of these public stances, Harris recently informed the most recent class of graduating cadets that the “rule of law is strained,” with “fundamental principles … under threat.”

During a commencement speech at the ceremony, which took place in New London, Connecticut, Harris railed against the current state of the world amid the invasion of Ukraine, claiming that long-standing norms and rules are under attack without any reference to the White House’s open contribution to such global violations.

“The challenges we face are broader than Russia,” Harris boomed, adding that “additional attempts to undermine rules-based order” are proliferating throughout the world.

“Nations that threaten the freedom of the seas; criminal gangs and traffickers who skirt the rule of law, and fuel corruption and violence,” Harris wailed, “those that manipulate and undermine the foundations of international commerce.”

Harris did not reference her abandonment of border responsibilities during the commencement address, or her own role in fueling “corruption and violence” through inaction.

The vice president has expressed similar sentiment in other commencement ceremonies. Earlier in May, she delivered a graduation speech to Tennessee State University, where she called for graduates to utilize their leadership skills in order to help address an increasingly high number of challenges plaguing an unstable world.

During her address, Harris claimed that the Class of 2022 ostensibly stands “on the brink of a new frontier,” with reference to advancements in the sciences and medical research.

The vice president also declared that the risks of climate change are the greatest, without making any reference to the gradual decline of civil liberties under the Biden administration.

In 2021, Harris delivered a graduation speech at the U.S. Naval Academy, though this year, President Biden is expected to make a speech.
