While universities have always been a dangerous source of leftist influence, they have now become downright comical in the quality of education delivered to students, considering the totally absurd commentaries that several college students have astonishingly made to the public.
Much of the United States population already finds the demands for reparations egregious enough, although much of the population also perceives these demands as originating from the supremely ignorant and uneducated.
Except that some of the most “educated” people in the country are now spewing the same nonsense, courtesy of professors like Elizabeth Warren and other sterling examples of fairness and equality.
According to BLM “organizer” Ariel Atkins, looting is perfectly justified because it ensures that people can “eat”,” sounding like a carbon copy of bartender masquerading as U.S. representative AOC.
“I don’t care if someone decides to loot a Gucci or a Macy’s or a Nike store, because that makes sure that person eats,” Atkins said, WMAQ-TV reported. “That makes sure that person has clothes.” Atkins added, “That is reparations. Anything they wanted to take, they can take it because these businesses have insurance.” [Source: The Blaze]
Didn’t realize that Gucci acquisitions were mandatory for being able to eat (nor did the vast majority of the American population), but these are the snowflakes of the century, after all. They better get their Gucci.
Other students made equally ridiculous claims, with one claiming that looting is part of “the healing process.”
“I guess it’s all part of the healing process,” another student philosophized about the looting and rioting, adding that “some people get caught in the way, and it’s unfortunate, but for meaningful progress to happen unfortunate things happen.” [Source: The Blaze]
Interesting. Bear in mind that those “unfortunate things” also include the deaths of several innocent people, including many black people, but reality is clearly not a friend of the modem day American college student.
College students apparently aren’t assigned any truly rigorous work anymore, given how much free time they appear to have to engage in various “protests” around liberal cities, as was seen with the wealthy Rice University student that participated in vandalizing the city in which her parents work to support her.
This abundance of free time is clear in that they have not only decided to justify their “reparations” explanation, but they have also found something new to be offended about: war memorials. Yes, students at the University of Rhode Island proclaimed themselves to be
The Vice President of Student Affairs, Kathy Collins, attempted to justify the university’s position, albeit quite poorly.
“I have received complaints about the murals that portray a very homogeneous population predominately the persons painted and depicted on the wall are predominantly white and that does not represent who our institution is today,” Collins said. “Some of our students have even shared with us they didn’t feel comfortable sitting in that space.” [Source: Breitbart]
Thus, this attempt at justification pans out quite poorly, given that it is totally based on students’ hypersensitivity, lovingly nourished by the “trophies for everyone” public school system.
After all, in a society that absurdly tells them microaggressions are tantamount to violent, paralyzing assault and that words are just as deadly as guns, it would be natural for them to progress onwards towards being offended by murals by appearance only, rather than the context in which the murals were produced.
Next thing you know, they’ll be demanding that the Guggenheim, Met, Louvre, or other major arts museum should remove over 50 percent of its artwork because it isn’t “diverse” enough. Hopefully, museums that depend upon heavy financial backing from the sane, working population will not kowtow to such absurd demands.
In general, perhaps these students should take only online classes; that way, they don’t need to fear being traumatized by World War II memorials that honor Veterans who died for their right to endlessly complain in the first place.
Even better, they won’t be able to freely congregate in person as frequently and insist that violent riots in which people have died are “reparations” from the past, oftentimes not even having a full grasp of what the historical past truly entailed in the first place. How many of these students are even aware of who the Allied and Axis powers were in World War II? Given the popularity of the ghastly Project 1619, the guess is likely not many.
Speaking of World War II, notice how the Japanese don’t sit around demanding reparations, despite the fact that the United Sates obliterated well over 100,000 Japanese under a century ago in World War II? As well as the fact that many Japanese were forced into internment camps within the United States?
Instead, they banded together as a nation and rose from the ashes of World War II’s outcome, ultimately becoming one of the strongest economies on the planet within decades, as well as one of the United States’ most enduring allies in the Asia-Pacific region.
However, moving backward, rather than forward, appears to be the name of the game for ironically named “progressive” college students, unless their idea of progress is retreating so far backward into the fictitious narratives pushed by Marxist professors that they are incapable of any other skills aside from being near-permanently enraged.
Given the rather open statements these students have made supporting the looting of stores as “reparations,” one can only hope that every single corporation will make a note of these rather public loudmouths, placing them on a permanent “Do Not Hire” list.
After all, if Target can just “flip a switch” and magically receive all the millions in damage caused by the looters, what is to stop one of these college students from embezzling funds or engaging in other white collar crimes as full time employees? Assuming, of course, that they are even able to fill out a job application anymore, which seems increasingly questionable given the rather radical output of most Marxist indoctrination centers, also known as American universities, these days.
When Trump sweeps the 2020 election, one can only hope that students are so traumatized that they go back to their safe spaces for the next year and shut up entirely.
