If you’re like many American Patriots, you are probably becoming an expert at pointing out Democrats’ absurd hypocrisy, from flouting their own COVID restrictions to demanding walls around Capitol Hill while denigrating Trump’s wall to protect Americans.
While some of the hypocrisy has been downright laughable, much of it is even more pathetic, given that these individuals astonishingly hold positions of extraordinary power and privilege, which they eagerly doll out to themselves while everyone else suffers.
And perhaps this week’s greatest example of such astonishing hypocrisy is John Kerry, who apparently will never give up on his private jets while demanding the rest of the planet reduce their carbon footprint.
Needless to say, the vast majority of the planet has a considerably lower carbon footprint than Mr. Kerry, but it didn’t stop him from making remarkably absurd justifications for his private jet use.
In fact, the justification is not only an astonishing display of Democrat arrogance and hypocrisy, but also a brilliant embodiment of their absence of logic.
For starters, John Kerry decided that it was a good idea to touch down in Iceland, one of the most environmentally sensitive nations on the planet, on a private jet. Apparently, the highest tiers of business class, which can be quite lavish, aren’t good enough for Mr. Kerry, who clearly still envisions himself as some sort of presidential figure with all his private jet setting globe-trotting.
The kicker? Kerry was flying into Iceland to accept an environmental award. In the ultra-woke world, some of this nonsense truly defies belief.
After all, Americans are all but ordered to abandon more cost-effective cars in favor of hybrid or electric toys (which ironically decimate the environment in other ways, namely through lithium extraction), but apparently it’s just fine for Mr. Kerry to fly overseas in a private jet. Leaving a gargantuan footprint in his wake so he can accept an environmental award, which should be perceived nothing but a joke after his preferred method of transport.
Oh, and Iceland also has some of the strictest lockdowns in the world, especially in terms of other nationals entering its borders, but Mr. Kerry is apparently immune to COVID, as well as immune to ordinary transportation.
Talk about “privilege.”
And, speaking of “privilege”, Kerry’s explanation for his private jet use was even more out of touch.
An Icelandic reporter observed Kerry’s interesting means of transport and inquired, “I understand you came here with a private jet. Is that an environmental way to travel?”
“If you offset your carbon — it’s the only choice for somebody like me who is traveling the world to win this battle … I negotiated the Paris Accords for the United States …
I’ve been involved with this fight for years. I negotiated with [Chinese] President Xi to bring President Xi to the table so we could get Paris. And, I believe, the time it takes me to get somewhere, I can’t sail across the ocean. I have to fly, meet with people and get things done …
But, what I’m doing, almost full time is working to win the battle on climate change, and in the end, if I offset and contribute my life to do this, I’m not going to be put on the defensive.” [Source: Fox News]
What you’re doing “full time” Kerry is a bunch of you know what on the American taxpayers’ dime. Nothing more, nothing less.
And that bunch of “you know what” is magnified by the fact that he did not, in any shape or form, address the reporter’s question in his response.
Kerry’s response can be translated as follows: In other words, Kerry did a bunch of talking, not to mention a whole bunch of rather enviable travel, that will somehow magically erase his carbon footprint, which is likely 1,000x the average American’s. If not more.
Such an absurd explanation brings to mind the ever-famous Miranda Right, “you have the right to remain silent,” as Kerry certainly incriminates himself more and more the more he talks. He would have been better off saying “no comment.”
Then again, since Democrats want to defund the police, it wouldn’t be surprising if Mr. Kerry has limited to nonexistent knowledge of the most basic tenets of due process.
Regardless, his explanation is absurd.
First of all, it assumes that he, and he alone, apparently is Commander in Chief of climate change, which in and of itself operates on the massive assumption that humans can control everything with the environment. If that were the case, why didn’t Kerry wave a wand and magically wave away one of the worst snowstorms to hit the Northeast since the 1800s this week?
Hey, and shouldn’t snowstorms be a thing of the past anyway, with all this rapidly overheating earth and all? Or does the snowstorm throw a wrench in the fake news media’s ever-distorted reality?
Secondly, assuming John Kerry IS apparently Commander in Chief of climate change, shouldn’t he be modeling by example? You know, as in living a more environmentally friendly lifestyle himself?
Apparently, Kerry is so deeply ingrained within the swamp that he can’t even realize the degree of insanity and privilege omnipresent in his absurd statement, but he, like many other liberals, enjoy an insanely protected position within the fake news media.
