Looks like Maxine Waters just might start realizing the error of her “confrontational ways,” considering the swift response she’s received from multiple angles.
For starters, Ms. Waters has just earned herself the privilege of being formally censured, which would be welcome relief to the numerous Americans growing utterly sick of her America-hating, violence-inducing ways.
Kevin McCarthy, the House GOP Leader, did not hold back at all when detailing the reasons why Ms. Waters should be censored, especially given her history of encouraging violence against people she disagrees with.
“This weekend in Minnesota, Maxine Waters broke the law by violating curfew and then incited violence. Increased unrest has already led to violence against law enforcement and her comments intentionally poured fuel on the fire …
We’ve heard this type of violent rhetoric from Waters before, and the United States Congress must clearly and without reservation reprimand this behavior before more people get hurt. But Speaker Pelosi is ignoring Waters’ behavior. That’s why I am introducing a resolution to censure Rep. Waters for these dangerous comments, and I hope that all my colleagues – both Republican and Democrat – will stand up for peace on America’s streets.” [Source: Breitbart]
Outside of DC, Eric Nelson, Derek Chauvin’s defense lawyer, requested a mistrial based on Water’s incendiary remarks, where she openly called for rioters to become even more “confrontational” if the jury does not rule in the way that Waters apparently sees fit.
While Judge Peter Cahill did not grant a mistrial request for this particular trial, he did hint very strongly that the commentary of Ms. Waters very well may serve as an effective “get out of jail free” card for Derek Chauvin, should he happened to be convicted of murder or manslaughter.
“I’ll give you that Congresswoman Waters may have given you something on appeal that may result in this whole trial being overturned …
This goes back to what I’ve been saying from the beginning. I wish elected officials would stop talking about this case, especially in a manner that is disrespectful to the rule of law, and to the judicial branch and our function. I think if they want to give their opinions, they should do so in a respectful, and in a manner that is respectful to the Constitution, to respect the co-equal branch of government.” [Source: Breitbart]
Ultimately, Maxine Waters has perhaps demonstrated some of the most brazen disrespect towards the judicial system of the United States. This disrespect is likely only rivaled by Biden’s current efforts to pack the Supreme Court, purely so leftists can “get their way.”
Safe to say compromise exists exactly nowhere when dealing with groups comprising individuals of limited emotional intelligence and even more limited intellectual capacity.
Speaking of limited intellectual capacity, when asked whether or not Ms. Maxine’s remarks might induce violence, Pelosi had the gall to reply, “absolutely not.” Even more disgustingly, Pelosi claimed that Waters was advocating the types of tactics used during the Civil Rights Movement.
“Maxine talked about confrontation in the manner of the Civil Rights movement,” Pelosi said, according to CNN. “I myself think we should take our lead from the George Floyd family. They’ve handled this with great dignity and no ambiguity or lack of misinterpretation by the other side
“In the manner of the Civil Rights movement.” Sure, Pelosi.
Because that movement was full of people screaming to kill police, defund police, set businesses on fire, loot like there’s no tomorrow, and, of course, wheel around and scream that all of the above is justified due to “racism,” an increasingly nebulous term due to its massive over-usage.
Perhaps worst of all, the fake news media also had the gall to not even bother to call out Pelosi for her absurd commentary, which literally flies in the face of her (polar opposite) commentary regarding Trump’s speech on January 6. A speech in which Trump said nothing about confrontation and everything about peaceful protesting.
Given such blatant hypocrisy, one wonders on more than one occasion what exactly is going on with Ms. Pelosi’s general neuron activity (or lack thereof).
Either that, or Pelosi only cares about quelling violence if the violence comes anywhere near her. After all, it’s not as if she routinely engages with anyone who isn’t an ultra-elite, with private jet travel serving as the standard, rather than the exception.
Or, perhaps the most compelling possibility, Pelosi is so blinded with her hatred for Trump, largely due to the fact that Trump’s prowess and common sense governing exposed Pelosi for being one of the biggest swamp monsters of them all.
