Looks like some leaked phone calls can reveal some individuals’ real thoughts about the rather totalitarian BLM movement, including individuals linked to one of the biggest pro-BLM, anti-police thugs out there: Mr. Lebron James.
Mr. James may spend many of his days ranting and raving on Twitter, threatening police officers, whining about “white privilege” while he makes up to $200M annually for dribbling balls, and generally contributing nothing but hate to discussions.
Oh, and now he is also apparently attacking PA announcers at high school basketball games, to give a sense of how much free time the multi-gazillionaire has.
To be fair, James’s education appears rather limited, which could explain why he not only has nothing original to say, but also does not have the faintest clue about the most basic elements of intellectual debate.
James himself admitted to having limited education when he was apparently unable to deliver a coherent response to a rather basic question in 2007, and he eventually exclaimed that “he didn’t go to college.”
You don’t say.
However, some of his associates may not necessarily share the “passion” that Mr. James does.
And that associate would include his own adviser, Adam Mendelsohn, who recently admitted to being “exhausted” by the BLM and MeToo movements on a private phone call with Rachel Nichols, an ESPN reporter, which has ignited massive controversy and backlash.
“I don’t know. I’m exhausted. Between Me Too and Black Lives Matter, I got nothing left.” [Source: Breitbart]
One would think that Mendelsohn would have “nothing left” just from having to deal with Lebron alone, never mind being forced to act like a public soldier for the BLM “movement.”
That said, it is refreshing to hear LeBron James’ own advisor state what so many Americans have already long since felt ever since the nonstop assault on police, law-abiding citizens, and the United States itself for the past 15+ months.
Unfortunately, however, the phone call between Mendelsohn and Nichols was inadvertently uploaded to ESPN’s computer system.
Kayla Johnson, one employee who is apparently tasked with doing nothing at ESPN given all the free time she apparently has while “on the job,” thought it would be a good idea to scour the ESPN computer system and subsequently record the audio footage with her cellular phone of the conversation between Mendelsohn and and Nichols.
Unsurprisingly, that phone call was leaked to the media, and it not only resulted in chaos for Mendelsohn, but also Rachel Nichols, who was likely passed over for an opportunity since she has the wrong skin tone.
On the call, Nichols can be heard commiserating with Mendelsohn, as she referred to ESPN as a “snake pit” that deliberately passed over her in favor of a black colleague, Maria Taylor, when it came to determining who would host coverage the NBA Finals.
“I wish Maria Taylor all the success in the world — she covers football, she covers basketball … f you need to give her more things to do because you are feeling pressure about your crappy longtime record on diversity — which, by the way, I know personally from the female side of it — like, go for it. Just find it somewhere else. You are not going to find it from me or taking my thing away.” [Source: Yahoo Sports]
There it is in a nutshell: The unfiltered truth.
And nothing will enrage the leftists like the unfiltered truth, which is precisely why both Mendelsohn and Nichols have effectively been forced to issue a groveling apology.
Since forgiveness is not exactly the strong suit of the left, it is safe to say the apologies have done little, especially in Nichols’s case, and countless individuals appear enraged that Nichols has yet to face any punishment from ESPN.
Fortunately, ESPN hasn’t (yet) pulled a knee-jerk MLB reaction, and the only person who has been disciplined is Ms. Johnson, the employee who clearly violated who knows how many company policies, not to mention basic legalities, by recording and disseminating the contents of that phone call.
And, since Ms. Johnson happens to be black, the leftists are now ranting that Johnson has been punished while Nichols has not been.
Cue the “Cancel ESPN” brigade, until the mob becomes enraged over something else.
Apparently, the left cannot distinguish between someone expressing their private opinion and someone illegally recording that opinion.
Then again, since lawlessness is the name of their game, is anyone really surprised?
