At this point in her career, Pelosi has apparently long since decided to jettison even a semblance of objectivity.
Particularly when any situation has even a peripheral relation to Trump, who Pelosi has been completely obsessed with for the past several years.
So obsessed, in fact, that the main project she appears to be focusing on is her ongoing January 6 Commission, which has approximately zero support from Republicans, not to mention from a significant percentage of American taxpayers themselves.
In fact, Pelosi is so determined to shape the commission and its outcome that she has apparently decided to undermine any and all conservative voices, making headlines recently for openly rejecting two of the Republicans who were suggested to be on the committee.
And, in typical Pelosi style, she proclaimed that she was legally able to do so, “as the legislation allows.”
“As the legislation allows, I did not accept two of the five people who were appointed … As they have made statements and taken actions that I think would impact the integrity of the committee, the work of the committee. This is deadly serious. This is about our Constitution …
Of the three [McCarthy picks] that I appointed, one of them voted against the ratification and the other two voted for it … Having said that, though, the other two [Jordan and Banks] made statements and took actions that just made it ridiculous to put them on such a committee seeking the truth.” [Source: Breitbart]
So, in other words, since Banks and Jordan “made statements” (i.e., expressed themselves freely), they are apparently barred from serving on Pelosi’s little partisan committee.
Most disturbingly of all, rather than openly admitting the truth, which is that she is deliberately interfering with an objective investigation, Pelosi has the gall to claim that a deliberately partisan committee is necessary for arriving at “the truth.”
“It’s my responsibility as Speaker of the House to make sure we get to the truth on this, and we will not let their antics stand in the way of that.” [Source: Fox News]
The only “antics” taking place now are those promoted by Pelosi herself, particularly given the rather backdoor way she went about setting up such a commission in the first place.
On top of that, Pelosi is apparently oblivious to the fact that the nation is facing much, much greater hardships at this point in time (open borders, anyone?) than the events of January 6, but since Pelosi herself lives in a series of castles no matter what, it is quite clear that she simply does not care.
One just wishes that she would drop the total lies regarding the “nonpartisan” nature of the investigation, though Pelosi continues to hammer on about the supposed objectivity of her totally subjective committee.

Hilariously, in an effort to appear “nonpartisan,” Pelosi just may be appointing a supposed Republican who voted in favor of impeaching Trump, at least per CNN’s Melanie Zenona.
“Speaker Pelosi is considering adding GOP Rep. Adam Kinzinger to the select committee on Jan. 6, sources tell me.” [Source: Newsmax]
Of course Pelosi would “consider” adding Kinzinger, as well as any other GOP representative who is remotely anti-Trump.
As humorous as Pelosi’s insistence upon the committee’s supposed truthfulness is, several serious issues remain regarding how the committee will actually operate.
After all, the investigation has not even started yet, and it’s already become a partisan mess, in large part due to Pelosi’s shenanigans.
And, recalling how the Democrats spent over 3 years investigating supposed Russian collusion (in which Trump was ironically exonerated), one does wonder how much time the Democrats will be wasting on the latest “commission.”
Perhaps all the way until 2024?
In the meantime, one also wonders exactly what the Democrats are hiding from the public, especially if the commission becomes a massive spectacle like every other Trump-related activity the Democrats take on …
