Well, well, well. For a bunch of Democrats and traitorous Republicans who wanted Trump out of DC, they sure seem to be in a hurry to bring him back, if only to castigate him further for daring to break the swampy mold. And since everything must be extreme for utterly selfish politicians who are even more utterly devoid of a conscience, “castigate” really means “impeach” in this context.
And yes, believe it or not, not only Pelosi, but also McConnell are now pursuing impeachment against Trump. In a perverse way, that may be “unity”, but it’s a unity between two self-serving politicians who will never attract the genuine love and respect Trump had, and still has, amongst millions upon millions of Americans.
Not to mention millions overseas, including in Japan, where a pro-Trump march took place the day of Biden’s unattended, militarized inauguration.
After which the National Guardsmen were then forced to sleep inside a parking garage, on the ground. Nice respect for the military, but Biden already made his disdain for any form of law enforcement quite clear over the summer.
And, of course, since they’ve already made a mockery of impeachment the first time, expect even more of a sham the second time.
Pelosi, of course, just can’t get over the fact that Trump routinely revealed her incompetence (and arrogance). And, in a similar vein to fighting Trump all of last fall over COVID relief, she has now decided to spend all of this spring vainly attempting to impeach Trump.
Most disgustingly of all, she labels this effort as a “responsibility.”
“That’s our responsibility to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. And that is what we will do. Just because he’s now gone — Thank God — you don’t say to a president: Do whatever you want in the last months of your administration, you’re going to get a get out of jail card free because people think we should make nice and forget that people died here on Jan. 6.”

However, in some ways, McConnell is even more of a snake than Pelosi, given his rather insidious statement, which is rather easy to rip apart.
“[The GOP Senate] is united behind the principle that the institution of the Senate, the office of the presidency, and former President Trump himself all deserve a full and fair process that respects his rights and the serious factual, legal, and constitutional questions at stake.” [Source: The Daily Wire]
Ah. So the GOP Senate “is united” to “constitutional questions at stake?” How about starting with Biden’s Day 1 executive orders, in that case? Where is the “constitutionality” in that?
Furthermore, shouldn’t McConnell be a tad more concerned with seriously pressing issues at stake, such as unemployment, COVID, national security, and so forth … You know, the kinds of things that help all Americans.
Alas, McConnell not only has decided to focus on impeachment, but he also decided to draw out the process for as long as possible, undoubtedly providing a brilliant cover for all the leftists’ nefarious deeds (with puppet Biden’s signature).
“Given the unprecedented speed of the House’s process, our proposed timeline for the initial phases includes a modest and reasonable amount of additional time for both sides to assemble their arguments before the Senate would begin to hear them … At this time of strong political passions, Senate Republicans believe it is absolutely imperative that we do not allow a half-baked process to short-circuit the due process that former President Trump deserves or damage the Senate or the presidency.” [Source: The Daily Wire]
“Unprecedented speed.” Right, McConnell. Perhaps unprecedented for you, but not at all for Trump, who is already deeply missed by the 75M+ voters who voted for him (and those are the officially recorded ones). In fact, has it occurred to Mr. McConnell that those 75M+ Americans who voted for Trump may not relish the prospect of seeing their beloved leader (as he is still the beloved leader in the hearts of many)?
It probably has, but, then again, since he’s proven himself to be 100% swamp certified, that also means he could care less about the American people. Plus, since Trump clearly did most of the work, apparently McConnell needs to look busy with something, even if it’s one of the most divisive actions he could possibly take. Something to keep him busy until at least February, which is apparently when he wants a trial to begin.
You know, to “save” the Senate and Presidency, though someone inform Mr. Mitch that particular ship already sailed in November. Not that he’d care about the real impact on Americans.
In fact, did McConnell even reference the American people in his above statements? Nope …
Rep. Steve Scalise, on the other hand, thankfully appears to have his priorities in order, especially when he rather tacitly suggested focusing on other issues rather than sham Impeachment 2.0.
“We need to turn the page and start focusing on helping hardworking families … People are struggling. We need our economy to safely reopen, schools safely reopened, to get people back on track …
There are areas where we can come together, such as turning the page on coronavirus, getting the vaccine even more widely distributed … President Trump’s Operation Warp Speed created not one but two vaccines. We are vaccinating 800,000 people a day.” [Source: News Max]
Scalise also noted that if Biden really would like to achieve “unity”, he would stop pursuing impeachment against a now-private citizen and move the nation forward.
Plus, if Biden were really so popular, exactly why does his inauguration speech video have comments disabled and more than double the dislikes as likes? Hm …
Perhaps Google can write an algorithm to help him out. Oh wait, they already did! Along with the rest of big tech! Unbelievable …
Now, if only McConnell would get the hint. Though he appears more concerned with licking Pelosi’s boots, judging from his latest statements, by not only giving her impeachment scam the time of day, but also providing a TIMELINE for it, all under the insidious cover of “due process.”
May sound pretty, Mitch, but you know at your core what you’re doing is wrong, and you definitely know what you’re doing will further divide the country. Another swamp monster exposed. May he eventually he be relinquished of his “duties”, which appear to serve nothing but his own political interests these days anyway.
Good riddance, RINOs.
