Swamp Democrats Fortify Their Defenses Against Trump And His Followers

In recent months, significant attention has focused on the First Amendment, for darn good reason.

After all, the famed First Amendment (the same one that ultra-woke Prince Harry recently bashed as “bonkers”) is precisely what makes the United States an exceptional nation, given that it entails the right to freedom of speech, expression, religion, peaceful assembly, and a host of other freedoms.

In fact, the freedom to peacefully assemble is precisely the right under threat from the swamp now, given the ongoing persecution of individuals who dared to gather in D.C. on January 6.

Despite the media’s fictional reporting, the vast majority of protest attendees were peaceful and vocally supporting their opposition to the outcome of the election, yet all the focus has been on individuals who entered the Capitol Hill building.

Thus far, several arrests have been made of these individuals, with the FBI clearly taking pleasure in a nationwide manhunt, harnessing the resources of an intelligence community that’s apparently no longer looking for Russian bogeyman.

However, while some attention has focused on the FBI manhunt, even less focus has been placed on the fact that another amendment may be under imminent threat from the Biden administration, which is the Sixth Amendment.

As detailed below, the Sixth Amendment has explicit details regarding the types of trials that all the accused are entitled to have.

“In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the state and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense.” [Source: Cornell Law School]

Violations of that amendment are partially why the “Justice for J6” rally, set to take place on September 18, given that several individuals have been arrested, yet the details surrounding their arrests have been rather murky.

Matt Branyard, the leader of Look Ahead America, as well as one of the “Justice for J6” organizers, pointed out this troubling trend, adding that all defendants are owed “a fair trial.”

“The small handful who so far have been credibly charged with violence, they are due a fair hearing, a fair trial. I don’t think that that’s happening for them. They’re still having the deck stacked against them. And in many cases, those who have been accused of violence have had the government slow walk evidence and say that they may not even be able to present the evidence for another year. So I don’t know how credible these claims of violence against many of these individuals are, to begin with.” [Source: The Washington Examiner]

So, the supposedly resourceful government suddenly may not have “evidence for another year?” That sounds a bit skeptical.

Not to mention, that doesn’t exactly sound “speedy,” per the Sixth Amendment itself.

On top of that, Branyard is presently receiving numerous death threats for daring to exercise his First Amendment rights, namely by peacefully assembling in Washington D.C. on September 18.

“Despite all of this entirely peaceful operation by us, I’m being bombarded with death threats and threats of violence. So, all the violence happening here is exclusively coming from the Left, all the threats of real violence that we’re seeing here.” [Source: The Washington Examiner]

Meanwhile, the Democrats are busy fretting away over “security,” which is rather hilarious given their general disregard of Americans’ basic safety (either domestically or overseas).

For instance, it is likely that enormous fencing will be constructed, which Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton, the district’s Democrat representative, has already weighed in on.

“I would hope that we wouldn’t have to fence in the Capitol every time there’s a demonstration … If they go with the fence, I’m not going to criticize them … The preparations are certainly going to be more than they were on Jan. 6.” [Source: Newsmax]

A real shame that cities and police precincts across the nation aren’t afforded the same “protections” Democrats apparently deserve.

Nancy Pelosi has also made snarky comments on the upcoming security measures.

“We intend to have the integrity of the Capitol be intact.” [Source: Newsmax]

If Pelosi is so intent on integrity being maintained, perhaps she should recuse herself from being Speaker of the House.

Ultimately, the Democrats fear-mongering is based on exactly what they themselves feel: fear.

After all, a population that asserts its natural rights and freedoms is not the type of population that domineering, dictatorial Democrats are interested in.

Branyard also recognizes this reality, which is precisely why he’s received death threats.

“The idea of our people organizing and attending rallies and raising the profile of the injustices terrifies them … We ain’t afraid and we will not be stopped.” [Source: The Washington Examiner]

It will be interesting to see how September 18 unfolds …
