Trudeau Tramples Gun Rights

If anyone is wondering whether or not Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is little more than a hidden tool of the American Democrat Party, wonder no further.

After all, in the wake of all the lefties protesting guns in the United States today, Trudeau abruptly decided to ban handgun sales in Canada.

“New gun control legislation the federal government tabled Monday includes a national freeze on the purchase, sale, importation, and transfer of handguns in Canada. The government also is pledging to start buying back thousands of banned assault-style weapons before the end of the year,” the Canadian CBC reported.

Well, that escalated quickly.

Amazing how that legislation was drafted up overnight. Unless, of course, it was drafted a long time ago, set for release at the appropriate time.

Given that the bill constitutes almost a full ban on firearms sales in general.

“While the proposal falls short of a full ban on handguns, it would effectively limit their number in Canada,” the network added.

No kidding.

Clearly, the goal is to reduce ownership down to zero, barring government authorities and criminals, of course.

All of this sudden movement originates from C-21, a bill presented by Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino in the House of Commons on Monday.

The bill has been hailed as “the most significant action on gun violence in a generation,” though Mendicino did not reference the fact that Canada generally has far fewer shootings than the United States.

Which of course begs the question, why now?

Don’t look for any specifics from Trudeau, who delivered the typically standard party line.

“We recognize that the vast majority of gun owners in this country are responsible and follow all necessary laws,” Trudeau intoned, “we are, however, facing a level of gun violence in our communities that is unacceptable.”

Trudeau did not specify why communities are facing “unacceptable” gun violence, though he could be clearly describing any Democrat enclave in the United States … from Chicago to New York to Baltimore to Los Angeles, crime-laden, Democrat-run cities are effectively a dime a dozen.

“The bill we just tabled represents a milestone amidst a long and difficult battle which takes place on our streets every single day. It’s a battle which has claimed too many lives, leaving empty chairs at the dinner table, and empty desks in our classrooms,” Mendicino said grimly.

Really, Mr. Mendicino?

According to the statistics, Canada has experienced 2 school shootings between January 2009 and May 2018. Which is also the exact same number experienced by France during the same period.

The United States, on the other hand, has experienced 288 school shootings during the same time period, which leads one to wonder who Mendicino is really talking to – his puppetmasters in the American swamp, perhaps?

After all, Trudeau has already proven to be a useful litmus test for the Democrats in so many different ways, especially when evaluating his rather alarming response to the Freedom Convoy.

Invoking same emergency powers typically inspired by mass terrorism against peaceful truckers, truckers who are legally exercising their rights under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, is exactly the type of action Democrats like to see: shutting down conservatives, or, more accurately, anyone who dares to remember the freedoms and liberties they were endowed with upon birth.

Trudeau is also openly engaging in one of the Democrats’ other favorite games, chiefly shutting down free enterprise and creating major economic problems that he will be incapable of solving, though he’ll be more than capable of blaming everyone but himself.

“In other words, we’re capping the market for handguns,” Trudeau trilled, “as we see gun violence continue to rise, it is our duty to keep taking action.”

Stay tuned for sudden moves from the White House …
