One of the numerous characteristics that Donald J. Trump does not share with the left is his immense respect for the military and the veterans who have served within it.
This respect neatly aligns with Trump’s utmost regard for law enforcement officers and other individuals tasked with cleaning up the criminal messes left behind by overly social media-influenced snowflakes.
And, while Biden does everything in his power to prevent the Veterans from receiving the same respect that BLM and Antifa thugs routinely receive in the streets, Trump has released a beautifully crafted statement that underscores the degree to which he honors, respects, and praises America’s Veterans.
“On this Memorial Day, we remember the fallen heroes who took their last breaths in defense of our Nation, our families, our citizens, and our sacred freedoms …
The depth of their devotion, the steel of their resolve, and the purity of their patriotism has no equal in human history … It is because of their gallantry that we can together, as one people, continue our pursuit of America’s glorious destiny.” [Source: Fox News]
Notice what Trump is directly emphasizing in his statements? Unity.
Unlike Biden, who claimed (without evidence) that his administration would be one governed by “unity,” Trump actually governs by unity, which is why the fake news media essentially worked “over time” in its failed attempts to discredit him.
Here, Trump doesn’t distinguish by race, gender, or “feeling”; instead, he keeps the focus on “one”: “one people.”
In other words, the opposite of Democrats’ core campaign efforts, from the hateful BLM to the predictably hateful output, including anti-American Project 1619 nonsense.
Trump’s speech also provides a moment for intense reflection upon the men and women who sacrificed their own lives in order for Americans to continue enjoying the unprecedented freedoms that they have today.
More than 1 million Americans have sacrificed their lives in the armed services, with over 400,000 losing their lives between the Civil War and World War II alone.
Moreover, countless other Americans have also served in the military, including Senator Tom Cotton, a Republican from Arkansas, as well as a close ally of Trump, who also reminds Americans about the importance of holding the government accountable.
“One of my first drill sergeants taught us that the deficiency you walk by is the standard you accept … If you tolerate a deficiency — whether it’s in your own office and the people that work for me and serve Arkansans, or whether it’s in our federal bureaucracy — if you’re willing to tolerate or look past a deficiency, that is the new standard you set.
That’s what one reason why I always try to hold the government officials’ feet to the fire when I think something’s gone wrong. I’m not saying they’ve done something wrong in terms of being negligent or even malevolent, but if we tolerate those kind of lapses, then we’re going to encourage them in the future.” [Source: Breitbart]
And while Biden seems intent on empowering the lapses, Trump worked hard at eliminating them.
Trump’s common-sense, peace-promoting, job-building approach to governance was widely welcomed by all Americans who are not averse to work, as well as Americans who long for the traditional values that have underpinned the nation’s foundation and transformed it into one of the most exceptional nations in the world.
One that Trump led to greatness, as well as one that Trump may hopefully lead back to greatness again.
His veneration for veterans alone underscores the values an American President really needs to have.
“We owe all that we are, and everything we ever hope to be, to these unrivaled heroes. Their memory and their legacy is immortal. Our loyalty to them and to their families is eternal and everlasting …
America’s warriors are the single greatest force for justice, peace, liberty, and security among all the nations ever to exist on earth. God bless our fallen Soldiers, Sailors, Coast Guardsmen, Airmen, and Marines.” [Source: Fox News]
No surprise at all that lawmakers in Oklahoma have decided to rename a highway after Donald J. Trump.
